Content Publishing ApS & Lie FiXion
Frederiksdalsvej 228, Frederiksdalsvej 228
2830 Virum DANMARK Telephone: +4527643940 Fax: Company e-mail: [email protected] Content Publishing is a Danish niche publisher. We publish non fiction within the fields of BUSINESS and LIFESTYLE. Our purpose is to contribute to a sustainable society of insightful and energetic people and organisations by publishing and disseminating content and knowledge that can increase individual, organisational, societal insigths, global perspective, and inspiration for action. The content is based on theory or practice as theory derives from practice and practice contributes to theory. Theory, because theories and models are plateaus, which affirm some perspective of reality, describe the reality, and offer an explanation for how things work. A theory is important in that it offers a common frame of reference and explanation, which can be used by anyone under different circumstances by virtue of a common language. Pratice, because it is important to take experience seriously and learn from it. What went well, what went less well, and what completely missed the mark? Why did it go, as it did? We must learn from practice, the lived life, which individuals, private as well as professional, contribute to organisations and society, separately and together. We focus on the areas of business and life-style: Publications regarding the area of business touch upon all aspects of the profession as may relate to the operation of a company: leadership and management, organisational development, economics, HR, sales, marketing, CSR, work environment, business intelligence, innovation, service, IT, communication, politics, etc. Publications address the private as well as the public sectors. Publications regarding life-style have first and foremost focus on the whole person. By way of personal and spiritual insight as well as a global perspective, we can increase acknowledgement of who we are, what we stand for, and why we believe and do as we do. The more we acknowledge and are aware of our fundamental values, the greater the probability that we make the right decisions – in private as well as work life. On March 1st 2027 we launch the imprint Lie FiXion. Here we publish fiction across all genres with the common denominator "The good story". Diogenes Verlag
Sprecherstrasse 8
8032 Zürich SCHWEIZ Telephone: +41 442548511 Fax: Company e-mail: [email protected] »Every kind of writing is allowed - except the boring kind.« Voltaire / Based in Zurich, Diogenes is the largest independent fiction publisher in Europe, with international bestselling authors such as Daniela Krien, Donna Leon, Patricia Highsmith, Benedict Wells, Ingrid Noll, Paulo Coelho, John Irving, Ian McEwan, Bernhard Schlink, Patrick Süskind, Martin Suter, Martin Walker, and Doris Dörrie. A comprehensive collection of classics, art and cartoon volumes and children's books complete the programme. In over 70 years of publishing history, more than 8'000 titles by more than 800 writers and artists have been published, producing many international successes. Since 2019, Diogenes Verlag AG has been under the sole ownership of Philipp Keel, who succeeded his father Daniel Keel in April 2012. The latter founded the publishing house in 1952, and from 1954, he managed the company together with his school friend Rudolf C. Bettschart as business partners. More than 150 new authors have been signed by Phillip Keel in recent years, including Daniela Krien, Simone Lappert, Takis Würger, Elena Fischer and Sasha Filipenko. Rather than focusing on single titles, Diogenes publishes authors and their complete works. Major international successes include The Perfume by Patrick Süskind and The Reader by Bernhard Schlink. Two outstanding recent successes are Love in Case of Emergency by Daniela Krien (2019) Paradise Garden by Elena Fischer (2023) and For Polina by Takis Würger (2025). Diogenes also manages film and theatre rights of important German-language and international authors, such as Friedrich Dürrenmatt, Sławomir Mrożek and Patrick Süskind, to name but a few. Particularly noteworthy are the film adaptations of Bernhard Schlink's The Reader, Patrick Süskind's Perfume and Patricia Highsmith's Carol, major international successes. The publishing house also represents the world rights of many German and foreign-language authors including Patricia Highsmith, Donna Leon, Petros Markaris, Tomi Ungerer, and Andrey Kurkov. In 2016, Philipp Keel founded the subsidiary Diogenes Entertainment and has since been involved in numerous film productions as an executive producer. For example, the novel Deep Water by Patricia Highsmith was adapted into a film by Entertainment 360 and New Regency Pictures with Ben Affleck and Ana de Armas. In addition, the series Ripley, based on the famous novel The Talented Mr Ripley by Patricia Highsmith, premiered on Netflix in April 2024. The eight-part series starring Andrew Scott was written and directed by Steven Zaillian and executive produced by Philipp Keel (Diogenes Entertainment). Ripley won four ›Emmy‹ awards in 2024. Philipp Keel remains true to Diogenes Verlag's credo that »every kind of writing is allowed - except the boring kind« (Voltaire). In April 2022, he and Diogenes Verlag were honoured with the ›Premio Enrico Filippini‹, which is awarded as part of the Eventi letterari Monte Verità festival in Ascona, Switzerland, and recognises individuals and initiatives that are full of courage, creativity and ingenuity in the world of books.
